In the spring of 2008, barely six months into my career as an analyst in economic consulting, I had an epiphany that I should go work on a farm. Three weeks later I was sitting on the back of a water-wheel transplanter sticking onion sets into the cold, wet ground at Picadilly Farm. After a season as a farm apprentice I moved home to Brooklyn. I bounced around a bit, working for a pickle company and then a grain farm, before landing at The Spotted Pig. I worked as the producer buyer there, picking up local produce from Union Square Greenmarket four days a week. That job changed my life forever. After some more bouncing around, in 2013 I co-founded Quinciple, where I curated a weekly box with the best local ingredients. Each week I picked the best of the best of what was in season and wrote recipes to accompany the ingredients. After two years, we sold the company and now I'm on to my next and most exciting adventure yet. I'm the NY Project Head for Natoora, a London-based produce company. This website is a chronicle of my adventures as I travel to find the best vegetables and fruits around the country (and the world).
